4 Months already?

Camryn turned 4 months on Tuesday and Wednesday had her 4 month doctors appointment. She's a very big girl! She weighed 15 lbs 13oz and was 26 1/4 inches tall. That makes her in the 95% on weight and greater than the 95% on height! She got the go ahead to eat start eating rice cereal and then baby food. We waited until this morning to give it a try since such a mess at 5 in the morning didn't seem like a good idea. I would not say it was a success and here are the pictures to prove it:

I literally don't think she swallowed one bite of it. Oh well. Funny story about the rice cereal...On the way home from the Dr's appointment I was on the phone with Jonathan telling him Camryn could now have rice cereal. He was really confused by the whole process and had me explain several times. I asked if he got it and he said "sorta....we take some formula and we mix it with the rice crispies?" LOL he thought she was gonna eat rice crispies with no teeth and that's why he was so confused!

We went and had family pictures taken a couple of weeks ago. There were a few really good ones but other than these I was unimpressed with Studio One. When she was like 4 or 5 weeks old I started teaching her to stick her tongue out...really cute right? Well yeah until 95% of the pictures we took she had her tongue out in...haha.

Big Week!

It has been a while since we posted anything so we thought it was time give an update!

Lets start with last Saturday which was Camryn's first Valentine's Day! We went to the drive in theater so Cami got to experiance her first movie too! It was a perfect solution to going to the movies with a baby since we didn't have to worry about her bothering anyone. Here are some pictures in her Valentine's bib (from Oscar & Mimi) and her Valentine's outfit (from Aunt Christina & Uncle Steven):

The next day we met her new friend Hailey. At less than a day old Hailey looked so tiny next to Cami!

Then on Monday I had to go back to work and Camryn started daycare. I was really dreading it but I'm actually glad to be back. Of course I miss Cami during the day and can't wait to see her when I get home but it's good to get out of the house! The daycare ladies were astounded with how little Camryn cries and apparently she really likes to ride in the group stroller outside.

Yesterday we met Miss Emilee Jo Ickes who is my best friend's new baby who was born Friday. I'll post pictures next week.

Today was baby dedication day at church and Camryn slept through the whole thing! Here are some pictures from when we got home:

Could it be!!!

For the last 3 night Camryn has slept until 5 in the morning!!! Considering that is longer than I get to sleep when I'm working I count that as sleeping through the night! It could just be a fluke but it's encouraging to be reminded that it's possible and will eventually happen.

In other news Monday Camryn had an ultrasound of her hips and everything looks good! Female breech babies have a much higher risk of having hip dysplacia, which if caught early can be treated. The other risk factors are c-sections and first borns. Since Cami meets all 4 of those risk factors we got the ultrasound just to make sure everything was good.

And I had to include some pictures of course!

2 Months already!!!

Saturday was 2 months since Cami was born...CRAZY!!! Tomorrow we go to the doctor for her 2 month check up and shots. I'm excited to find out how much she weighs since the last time we were there she was less than 2 weeks old.

Here is a picture of her playing on her playmat today...she loves the star!

Here she is ready to go to watch the Wizard of Oz...her very first play

Possibly the first time there was smiling during tummy time

Finally a Blog!

We've finally joined the world of blogging! Hopefully we will actually keep it updated with our life with Camryn! She is 8 weeks old today which just seems crazy! It's hard to believe that at this time last year we were just deciding that we were ready to try to have a baby...and now we have such an amazing miracle from God!

Here is Cami a few days old...

At 1 month old...

On Christmas with her feathery outfit that was adorable but not that practical...

Already Cami is much more alert and starting show her personality. After she eats she likes to lay on her playmat at look up at the star that lights up & plays music. She lays there and kicks her legs and smiles at it letting out sporadic screams of excitement.

We will update with more recent pictures soon!
